These aren't your father's Green Run Stallions! Once upon a time, Matt Darby, Keith Goganious, and Plaxico Burress gave Green Run football, respectability before their NFL careers blossomed. Then the Dark Ages came around the program....
...the Stallions then did a free-fall in losing, going 10 seasons without a winning record that included a 51 game losing streak. In steps Shawn Wilson, who instilled a new level of discipline and guess what? It took! The Stallions are off to a 2-0 start to this season by beating First Colonial for the first time in a decade last week. Led by senior quarterback, Rahmel Glover, the Stallions have an eye on making the playoffs this season and in the process, shed the reputation as the Beach District doormat. Early indications show they may do it.
