SUPER SIZED COMMITMENT

The Maury offensive lineman heard from all the major schools and had narrowed it down to Virginia Tech or the Miami Hurricanes. He has verbally committed to Tech. He was an all-state player last year as a junior.
You look at most of the Hokies stars from our area and you think speed. The Hokies stockpile on receivers, defensive backs, linebackers and a few speedy defense ends from Hampton Roads. You don't think of quality lineman from our area going to Blacksburg much.
But, it sure is an area of need. The Hokies heard all year how they needed to upgrade on the offensive line. Painter should help. He has been rated as the 15th best offensive tackle in the nation by Rivals.com.
