Ocean Lakes lands new football coach
One week after Jim Prince left Ocean Lakes to take over coaching duties at First Flight High in Kill Devil Hills, the school quickly found his successor and they didn't have to leave the campus.
Chris Scott will take over the Dolphins football program this upcoming season. The 28 year old Scott should be familiar to Ocean Lakes fans. He played defensive back for Prince from 1994 to 1998, he was all-Beach District his senior year and going on to become a three-time All-American player in Division III football at Hampden-Sydney and returned to Ocean Lakes back in 2002 as a teacher and football assistant coach.
With district rivals Cox looking for a new coach to roam the sidelines, Ocean Lakes is glad to have a former player and assistant come in and get the Dolphins prepared for another grueling Beach District football campaign as a new era will kick off this fall.
