State tennis update

Fraser defeated Fairfax star Sidarth Balaji 7-6, 6-4 as Fraser becomes the first Eastern Region player in 10 years to reach the singles final. Now, Fraser must face another daunting challenge in Saturday's 9am final at Jefferson District Park in Falls Church in the form of two-time defending state titleist Drew Courtney of Robinson, who defeated his semifinal opponent in straight sets.
Fraser will be the only area representative in Saturday's finals. Fraser and his doubles partner, Cameron Brawley, were ousted in two quick sets.
On the girls side, the Falcons girls doubles combo of Faith Atiso and Jenny Lee were beaten by the doubles team from Langley in straight sets, while First Colonial freshman sensation Alex Ritter saw her season end in a singles semifinal loss, her first loss of the season. Ritter finishes a remarakable season with a 16-1 mark including Beach District and Eastern Region championships.
