Is this the best year, ever?

I did a little research today, checking my high school football file and looking on the UIL site. How many state champs do you think we've had in Central Texas in football through the years? Not many.
Reagan's run of three in four years, may be the most famous, but otherwise, it's kind of hit and miss.
Schulenburg had a run in the early 90s and Thorndale in the mid 90s. And we've had some here and there by Wimberley, LaGrange, Shiner, Bartlett, Westlake, etc.
But... this could be THE YEAR.
Liberty Hill has already won a 3A title. Now Pflugerville and Lake Travis have chances to match that this weekend.
Three title for Central Texas in the same year!
Best I can find is two... back in 1992... when Bartlett and Schulenburg got it done.
Now... you may stretch our area boundaries and include some teams from other areas to reach that number... but there's no question about Liberty Hill, Pflugerville, and Lake Travis.
They are Austin area schools and all three could be STATE CHAMPS!
