Let the South Carolina rumble begin!

Our HS Gametime game of the week is South Pointe Rock Hill and Clover. Two powerhouse teams who are both off to unbeaten starts. Both teams are well coached and have high expectations for the season.

The Clover Blue Eagles are coming off a State Championship season and are off to a 2-0 start. When I visited practice Wednesday Head Coach Jet Turner told me his team has thrived so far this year because many young players have stepped in and picked up where so many seniors left off last year before graduation. Emotions seemed excited but in check as the team worked through practice and they look extremely well prepared for Friday's big game!

I think this is going to be a fantastic matchup, because most of the same can be said about South Pointe. They are a well coached group lead by Bobby Carroll. His big booming voice carries all across the practice field. His very presence says Head Football Coach and I think he would be a great coach to play for. His Stallions are entering just their third season, and have built quickly from a few wins in their first season, to nine last year, and a State Title as their goal this year. The teams seems talented and lose.

This is going to be a game to remember, and a possible State Championship preview. So buckle up and we'll see you Friday night on HS Gametime to let you know how it all shakes out!
