Ira Cronin | Odd man out on Halloween

I was able to sneak by the house and get a peek at my kids and wife as they were making the rounds of the neighborhood. I have to say my wife was looking very snappy, and I didn't mean I have to say, like I'm obligated, I mean as in, I can't help myself. While at home I changed into my Halloween costume and headed back into work.
Back at the station, with nothing else to change into, I realized that I was the only one who dressed up for the big holiday leaving me the odd man out on the set. I have to say, thanks to the Charlotte Knights, who were kind enough to lend me a uniform for the occasion. While I didn't fill it out like a professional baseball player, I looked much better than I would have in a bozo the clown outfit!
Before my Halloween gaffe, I shot the Ardrey Kell at South Meck game. South Meck put on an impressive performance, especially in the running game department. Spencer Shoey put up two touchdowns in the first half, however I was most impressed with a run he had for about 10 yards, but he hurdled a wood be Knight tackler in the process. I can only recall ever seeing a tight end or receiver hurdle a defender, but never a running back! It was a something to see.
Great games on tap next week, and they are too many to mention, but I will mention the game I will be at, Butler and Independence at Memorial Stadium! It's going to be a great week! Blog you soon!
