Lake Travis is real good, Gilbert got on a truly sick run and destroyed a great DAyton defense. Dayton had not faced anyone that could pass like this and the mismatch showed. Against any running team DAyton has a good chance to win, against a passing team they were going to have problems. I had said earlier in the week that Dayton was a team that I had said would have a tough time winning state because they would have to face teams they are not familiar with like Lake Travis and possibly Highland Park.
Jerry Stewart, Jeff Nations and the entire coaching staff did a great job this year overcoming adversity to be one step away from state. Tonight was not their night, but good job coaches, good job players, good job fans.
This has been Alan Zepeda from Texasprepinsider.com blogging for HSGAMETIME.COM saying I will see you tomorrow at the stadium (north Shore vs Judson).
