Friendswood - Midway state title match

The 3A championship match is going to a fifth game, so we're about 30-45 minutes away from the start of Friendswood's bid to capture the 4A title.

Two state champions have already been crowned today.

Windthorst won its ninth state 1A title in the last 11 years with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-11 sweep of Iola. Windthorst has been to the Final Four 19 times, the last 18 in a row and has won 12 titles overall. The Trojanettes are pretty much the gold standard of Texas High School volleyball, winning nearly 96% of their matches over the past 10 years.

And in 2A, fourth-year Panhandle school Bushland knocked off three-time defending champion Poth 28-26, 25-15, 25-22
