Chaparral beats Vista Murrieta in OT

Chaparral won a thriller at Vista Murrieta, prevailing 28-27 in overtime when Nick Fernandez converted the PAT kick after Antoine Arnold hauled in a 14-yard TD pass from quarterback Mitch Glassman.
Vista Murrieta had rallied to send the game into overtime, and took a 27-21 lead on a TD run by Bradley Randle. But the PAT kick missed, and Chaparral won it when it scored on its overtime possession.

Roosevelt, Cajon grab victories

Roosevelt completed an outstanding defensive effort Friday night by beating Norco, 21-13, in a Big VIII League game. In a game that featured less defense and a lot of scoring, Cajon defeated Colton, 55-31, in a matchup of San Andreas League powers.


Vista del Lago holding on, 34-31

After a 25-minute delay due to a power outage at Valley View, Vista del Lago is taking a precarious 34-31 lead over the host Eagles into the fourth quarter.

Vista Murrieta quarterback Hayden Clegg threw a 76-yard touchdown pass to Casey Marquez with 52 seconds left, pulling the Broncos into a 21-21 tie with Chaparral and sending their Southwestern League showdown into overtime in Murrieta.

In a San Andreas League scoring fest, Cajon has taken a 42-31 lead over Colton heading into the fourth quarter.


Upland leads Los Osos at half, 21-20

Upland is leading Los Osos, 21-20, at halftime of their much-anticipated Baseline League contest in Rancho Cucamonga.
The visiting Highlanders took the one-point lead when Davion Fleming scored on a 1-yard run on fourth-and-goal with 38 seconds left in the half. Upland blocked an earlier Los Osos PAT attempt, accounting for the one-point lead.

Roosevelt surprising Norco

Roosevelt leads Norco, 21-7, after three quarters. Quarterback Andrew Corless hooked up with Austin Hill on an 83-yard touchdown pass to give Roosevelt a 21-0 lead in the third before Norco got on the board.


San Jacinto, Kaiser winning with defense

San Jacinto's defense continues to shine in its Mountain Pass League game with Banning, and the Tigers hold a 17-6 lead after three quarters. In another solid defensive effort, Kaiser has taken a 14-6 lead over Summit into the start of the fourth quarter.

Chaparral's lead over Vista Murrieta is 21-14 after three quarters. Vista Murrieta recovered an inside kick and then capped a drive with a 2-yard run by Bradley Randle. The Broncos later blocked a Chaparral field goal attempt to keep it a one-score game.


Temescal has 20-0 lead

Temescal Canyon has a 20-0 lead over Great Oak going into the fourth quarter. Maurice Rodriguez has rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries for the Titans.


Paloma leads Elsinore, 9-7

Elsinore has closed the gap on Paloma Valley after three quarters, making it a 9-7 game after taking the second-half kickoff and marching 90 yards for a score. John Maricic did the honors, scoring from 4 yards out to cap a drive that took almost seven minutes.


Long return has Arlington on top

Thanks to a 64-yard return of a blocked field attempt for a touchdown by Demetrius McLean, Arlington has a 14-9 lead over Ramona at halftime of their Inland Valley League game.
