THE LEGEND OF JOE McKNIGHT

OK, so this might not be high school sports, but in a way, it really can be classified as such. At least for this site.

You see, Sports Illustrated's Arash Markazi recently did a little preview of Southern Cal,...

and what do you know, the bulk of the copy focused on former Curtus standout Joe McKnight. If you get a minute or two, you should check this out.

I don't think it's going to be long before our dear friend Mr. McKnight makes his way onto the legendary field at the L.A. Coliseum.

And in relation to McKnight leaving Curtis, the big question is this -- how will the Patriots do this year without his services?

Well, if you believe USA Today, they're going to do just fine.

The national newspaper has Curtis ranked 15th in its first national poll of the season and 8th in its first regional poll of the year.

Curtis, if you didn't remember, is going for its fourth consecutive state championship.

Maxpreps.com, on the other hand, has Curtis ranked as the nation's 38th-best high school team, behind in-state schools Bastrop (No. 17) and Acadiana (No. 20).
