LSWA FOOTBALL RANKINGS: Sept. 18
The polls are out. And, with all No. 1's in every classification winning last week, they have all retained their ranking. So, too, have all No. 2's. In fact, not much movement at all throughout the five classifications.
Locally, we find Curtis holding strong at No. 1 in Class 2A, Lutcher hanging in at No. 1 in 3A, with Shaw holding tight at No. 2 in 4A and Destrehan solidly No. 3 in 5A.
Noted area schools Ehret, Holy Cross and O.P. Walker are inching their way up in the "others receiving votes" category. Of course, the most interesting ranking might be St. James, at 1-2, as No. 5 team in 2A. One of two teams ranked with more than a loss (Desire Street in 1A is the other).
