Interesting week 7

I wonder if Vandebilt was looking past Cox and towards its game with Shaw next weekend? The Eagles haven't really been tested yet and its defense figures to have one against Vandy down in the bayou area next Friday.
I wonder if Curtis will be tested in 2A? Yes, they've lost a game and yes, they don't appear as explosive as last year, but in two weeks when they face St. James, we should get a pretty good idea if Curtis is heads and shoulders above. The school everyone has challenging them, Evangel was beaten handily by perhaps the best team in 4A in Bastrop. That may or may not mean anything in the 2A class, but I just don't see anyone beating Curtis like that.
I wonder what the Catholic League would look like if two of their former teams Holy Cross and Shaw resided there this year? My guess is the final standings would look a whole lot different than they will.
Finally, did Destrehan look ahead? It's narrow victory and East St. John's win over Dutchtown suggest that next week's Destrehan game with East St. John could be verrry interesting...
