Destrehan, Thibodaux boys lead locals in basketball power ratings

I think the answer is yes, Cox does deserve to be atop the standings. No offense to Peabody, but Cox has played some of the best high school teams in the country. And in most, it has been competitive.

Then there's 5A, which for awhile, looked like New Orleans was well represented. Well, now nine teams have made their way into the top 24, led by Thibodaux at No. 10 and Destrehan at No. 12. The Wildcats, mind you, are finally playing as a full team now that the all the football players are here.
