Postseason Brackets
The girls basketball teams are on the regional round, while soccer is just about finished.
Newman's boys soccer team is the lone representative from New Orleans proper in the boys side, though they are playing metropolitan area team St. Thomas Aquinas in the boys Division III finals.
On the girls side, Sacred Heart is carrying the New Orleans banner, also in Division III.
The boys basketball brackets won't be released until Wednesday. For now, you'll have to get your basketball bracketology from the girls.
In 5A, Dominican travels to West Monroe (Tuesday), Chapelle heads for Ouachita (today, 6:30 p.m.) and Hahnville goes to Pineville (Tuesday).
In 4A, Ellender hosts Teurlings (Tuesday), Vandebilt hosts Broadmoor (Tuesday), Franklinton goes to Parkway (Tuesday), Karr is at St. Michael (today, 6:30 p.m.) and Cox travels to Glen Oaks (today, 6 p.m.)
In 3A, De La Salle is at Wossman (Tuesday) and Ursuline is at Redemptorist (today, 6:30 p.m.), while St. Mary's is at Capitol (today, 6:30 p.m.)
In 2A, St. James is at Lakeside (Tuesday), Curtis goes to Doyle (today 6:30 p.m.) and St. Thomas Aquinas is at Ferriday (Tuesday).
In 1A, Kentwood hosts St. Frederick (Tuesday) and Country Day goes to Arcadia (Tuesday).
