Miles throws former ESJ star Perrilloux to wolves, er, teammates

The Ryan Perrilloux saga continues. Glenn Guilbeau of the Gannett News Service couldn't get a comment from Les Miles about the former East St. John standout. Instead, teammates and restaurant managers went on the record.

Keiland Williams appears not to be amused by Perrilloux these days, though one restaurant manager had kind things to say about the troubled quarterback.

It's not all sadness here at the HS Blog. Not when you've got powerlifting and bowling to talk about.

I didn't know there were still high school powerlifting events, but apparently there are. Alexandria Senior High has a team to prove it, and they're going national to prove it. Alexandria Town Talk ace Will Tubbs tells us about it.

As for bowling, it wasn't all strikes and spares (sorry, I couldn't resist) for New Orleans-area bowling teams. No local teams are heading to state after being put out in the bi-region section of the tournament. Kent Lowe of the Advocate tells us about the tough day in Baton Rouge for New Orleans teams.

And how about this: A senior pitcher from Benton had only thrown five innings from the mound in his career. Then he throws a perfect game. Bravo, my friend. Bravo.
