Where art thou Perrilloux?
Former East St. John star quarterback Ryan Perrilloux - the same guy who became the 2007 SEC Championship game MVP - is still missing from LSU's football practice field. He's blessed with talent. But obviously, he's having a hard time getting his life straight.
The Advocate's Randy Rosetta tells us Perrilloux still is not practicing with the team and there are few practices left before Saturday's spring game.
Helen Cox's Greg Monroe is a Parade All-American. After just getting on the list later year, he's a first-teamer this time. Michael O'Shea of Parade Magazine reports apparently from the future, as the dateline is stamped April 6.
Finally, an interesting story in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. It's not about Louisiana high schools, but I think you can extrapolate from the study and research that Todd Holcomb did about how it would be with Louisiana schools. The correlation of state football champions to the number of college athletes on the team is interesting, if not already understood.
