No area team ranked in top 75 nationally
One thing that became clear through watching the "polls" a year ago was that Louisiana gets very little credit for its high school teams. What I don't get is why this is so. I mean, how often do we hear about how loaded Louisiana is in regard to talent?
Well, here we are again, the season knocking on the door. Jamborees are this week and if the preseason "polls" are any indication, teams best start off quickly, including in the jamboree to move up in national stature.
Now, let me explain why I have polls in parentheses. I'm using USA Today and MaxPreps.com once again. And while I think they're reputable sites, I just can't give them credit to be able to correctly guess the rankings nationally. Too many schools. Not enough people seeing all the schools.
