Destrehen gaining national respect
Two different polls. Two different places. But still gaining respect.
After losing basically an entire offense to college football, Destrehan has picked up where it left off last year. The Wildcats went 15-0 a year ago and are off to a 3-0 start this year. At this point, only Bastrop has a longer winning streak in the state, though it's at 48 games (including forfeited games three years ago).
Destrehan is ranked No. 74 in the Rivals.com Top 100 while coming it at a cool No. 13 in the MaxPreps.com ratings. Bastrop is No. 4 in the Rivals poll while No. 18 in the MaxPreps one.
