Barrow Diary: Looking forward to Destrehan since Week 1

Ehret senior linebacker Lamin Barrow and HSGametime.com will work together this fall to bring you and inside look at what a player goes through during the season. Barrow, the No. 7 player in the state according to HSGametime.com, will try to help guide the Patriots to the Class 5A state finals a year after advancing to the semifinals. Barrow is being recruited by Kansas State, Ole Miss and other Football Bowl Subdivision schools.

With weeks two and three in the bag, we got a big game against the Wildcats this Friday. I feel like this last couple of weeks has us fully prepared to face the challenge.

We played 35 in a good, physical game. We learned how to play from behind that week after the Roneagles jumped to an early 7-0 lead. The offense balled out and the defense rallied back to finish with a 43-13 victory.

We showed the game just how physical we could be, and we got our minds right going in to our next game with Shaw.

Going into the game with Shaw was a decent week of practice. Our coaches put together a great game plan again so all we had to do was execute. This game showed how powerful our offense could be. The final score was 42-14.

Now we're ready for Destrehan this Friday. This is a game I've been looking forward to since the season started. I've been waiting patiently to play these Cats again.
