National Rankings: Destrehan, Higgins getting love
Destrehan is on a 20-game win streak, including winning all 15 in 2007. This year's team has shown no signs of letting up.
And those who rank teams nationally are beginning to take notice.
Maxpreps.com has the Wildcats as the country's No. 2 ranked team. Rivals.com, meanwhile, has Destrehan at No. 65. And USA Today has no Louisiana team ranked in its Top 25.
But the more surprising ranking this week comes from the West bank, where Higgins comes in at No. 24 in the Maxpreps rankings. That's one spot ahead of Bastrop, a team everyone seems to be all about nationally.
