Week 2 observations

The biggest thing about week 2 so far is that it has my appetite whetted for Curtis-Salmen next week.

Sure, the Spartans were expected to win their first two and they have, but they are a very good team and will be a rare test for Curtis prior to the postseason.

Thibodaux's big win over Destrehan has them marked as a team to beat in 5A, while Brother Martin has done nothing to dispel its spot as a 5A favorite, perhaps a Catholic League team that could make a run at the Superdome?

And congrats to the Lusher Lions on their first win as a full time varsity squad, shutting out Pine.
