Catch It

By Joe Becker

I covered the Gresham-Central Catholic game tonight at Gresham and as usual I had a great time. Gresham Athletic Director Randy Williams and Company are great and always so nice and helpful.

Anyway, I was watching the Rams talented QB Derek Bowen lead Central Catholic to victory 35-14 and I was reminiscing a bit. Bowen wears number three, the same number as former Ram QB Joey Harrington. Most people know that

Nice Flight

By Joe Becker

Had another great night of Friday Night Flights. Took a flight out with Daron Larsen, the pilot of sky 8 and photographer Jim Culp, who was working the sky 8 camera. They are both great guys and real pros.

It was about as beautiful a night as I can remember flying through the night air of Oregon.
We did a pair of live shots at 6pm and 6:30 pm. We did the shows over Hare Field in Hillsboro to preview Fri

Game Predictions - September 19th

by Evan Chevrier

Century @ Glencoe
Glencoe barely escaped Corvallis with a double overtime win last week. But I have to give the edge to the Crimson Tide at home. They'll hand the Jags their first loss of the season.

Game Predictions - September 12

Jesuit @ Lake Oswego
Biggest game of the year. Deserves the biggest prediction of the year. I went with Jesuit last year and got burned. Plus, Lake Oswego's at home this time, and Jack Lomax has another year of experience. It all adds up right? Or not.

Zero Week Predictions

Tualatin @ Jesuit
The Timberwolves caught lightning in bottle last year, carried it all the way to the title game. Unfortunately, they're the first team Jesuit will play since getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs last year. Have mercy on them all.
Jesuit 31 Tualatin 17

West Linn @ Southridge
The Lions bring back quarterback Bryce Baker who led all passers in the state of Oregon with 2,758 yards

Shoni Schimmel is FOR REAL...

If you didn't get the chance this March to see Hermiston's flashy point guard Shoni Schimmel...it may be worth the drive to Eastern Oregon in the next couple of years.
She's one of the most electrifying girl basketball players you'll will find. It's like she has the basketball on a string at times. Maybe that's why her head coach often compares her game to that of the late, NBA great Pete Maravich. I got to see Schimmel play for abo
