Week Four Preview

Grant @ Canby
Grant will play their second, of four consecutive games on the road this Friday at Canby. But the General are used to playing away from the cozy confines of Grant Bowl. They play many "home" games at Lincoln. So they probably won't let it bother them too much.
The Generals have one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in recent Portland history in Andre Broadous. But he's got plenty of offensive weapons around him, so he doesn't have to carry the team on his back.
Canby is coming off a disappointing loss to Beaverton, in which they only managed to put six points on the board. The Cougars had been 3-0, and ranked 5th in the state. But Canby struggled to move the ball against a well disciplined Beaverton defense.
The Cougars will have to put together a pretty magical performance to keep up with Generals.
Prediction: Grant 35 Canby 21

North Salem @ West Salem
The Titans are the team to beat in the Central Valley Conference, and are head for a showdown with McNary in the final game of the season. Considers this Friday's game against North Salem a tune-up. The Vikings are struggling this year, and don't appear to be a real threat for an upset.
Prediction: West Salem 31 North Salem 14

Central Catholic @ Barlow
This seems to be the year of the running back, and Barlow's Malcolm Johnson is definitely in the club. Johnson rushed for 379 yards and six touchdowns against Sandy, and he's chomping at the bit to get ahold of Central Catholic.
The Bruins and the Rams are both 2-2, so the winner will join Centennial at the top of the Mount Hood Conference, the loser will fall back to the pack.
Prediction: Barlow 35 Central Catholic 31

Lakeridge @ West Linn
Its been a rough season so far for Lakeridge. The Pacers lost running back Zack Young when he transferred to Lake Oswego this summer, and the seemed to lose their swagger with it.
Lakeridge (1-2) did look impressive in a 33-10 win over North Medford in week one. But they haven't been the same since.
West Linn is just the opposite, dropping a game to Wilson in week one, then coming back with two straight wins. This a big game for the Lions. A win would put them in second place, where they could ride out the season behind Lake Oswego.
Prediction: West Linn 21 Lakeridge 14
