Week Two Preview
Jesuit @ Lake Oswego
The Lakers (2-0) are coming off a 21-17 win over Southridge. Jesuit (2-0) looked completely unstoppable in a 60-0 blowout of Central Catholic.
The Jesuit defense is yet to give up a point. In zero week, Mountain View managed one touchdown on a kickoff return.
The Crusaders won last year's meeting 31-20, so the Lakers are looking for a little revenge. But is won't be easy. Jesuit features one of the area's biggest prospects in running back Raphiel Lambert.
Prediction: Jesuit 34 Lake Oswego 17
Southridge @ Lincoln
We should learn a lot about both these teams after Friday. The winner should be considered a bona fide playoff contender, the loser could be in for a long season.
Both teams are coming off a loss. Southridge fell 21-17 to Lake Oswego. Lincoln was beat by Tigard 32-21.
The game is especially crucial for the Skyhawks, who still have Grant, Westview, Beaverton and Jesuit left on their schedule. A loss here could mean a 4-5 season.
Prediction: Southridge 24 Lincoln 21
Central Catholic @ Canby
The Cougars (2-0) could be this year's sleeper team. They already have knocked off Sprague, and Clackamas, and at this pace could be undefeated going into the Grant game at the end of the month.
Central Catholic may have a tough time getting past last week's embarrasing loss to Jesuit. If they can win this one, they could possibly run the table in the Hood River conference.
Prediction: Canby 28 Central Catholic 27
