Young and the Restless!

Great time at West Linn tonight. The Lions and Lakers of Lake Oswego for a special edition of Thursday night flights. The students and faculty of West Linn High are terrific and they were perfect hosts for our game of the week. They saved me a parking spot and the game was plenty of fun.

I delivered the game ball to West Linn Kicker Robert Truax. Robert can really kick.
He booted a 40 yard Field Goal in the first qtr...added another FG in the second qtr.
Truax just missed one from 54 yards in the second half.

The Ace, Sports Photographer Brian Warner, was in top form and so was Lake Oswego running back Zach Young. Young ran for 273 yards and three touchdowns, including an 80-yarder in the fourth qtr. Lake Oswego remains undefeated at 7-0 and number one in the state. The lakers win it 29-12.

By the way, I had a tasty cheeseburger. West Linn was the school where I ate on Friday Night Flights for the first time. It all started in the mid 90's. I was covering the Lions first game of the season. We had one minute of air time for our story and they wanted a standup in the story. A standup is the part of the story where the reporter talks on camera. I told the photographer to follow the action to me...and I will just say "Friday Night Flights is back...isn't it great." Well the promotion department liked that one and started running it to promote our show. Someone said...what are you going to eat next week? I didn't give it much thought...but decided to try and find something different ever week. It was so much fun and everyone seemed to like it.

I haven't stopped yet!
