State Playoffs: Quarterfinals preview

This is without a doubt in my mind, the best game of the weekend. If you like good old fashion shootouts, look no further. Grant has averaged 42 points in the past four games, Central Catholic, 38.

This is the spot where I was supposed to be writing about the big rematch between Lake Oswego and Jesuit. But the Cougars through a wrench in those plans, and now they're hosting a home game. I heard stories this week, about Canby parents that normally go to all the games, skipping it last week, because they didn't think they had a chance. Playoffs Week One Preview

Gresham @ Lake Oswego
Lake Oswego begins their playoff push Friday against Gresham. The state's number one team does not get a first round bye, due to predetermined seedings before the season.
Gresham made the playoffs as the fifth seed in the Mount Hood Conference, despite having a losing record.
Lake Oswego should have no problem with the Gophers, but the real test will come next week, with a likely rematch

Week Nine Preview

Central Catholic @ Centennial
The Mount Hood Conference title is on the line Friday, as Centennial (7-2) plays host to Central Catholic (6-3). The winner will be the number one seed heading into the first round of the playoffs.
Early in the season, the Eagles looked like they were going to sweep through the conference without a loss, but they stumbled two weeks ago at David Douglas.
