East Providence altered the Division I playoff picture by defeating previously unbeaten La Salle, 12-8, in the rain and slop at Pierce Memorial Field today.

Both the Townies and the Rams finished the regular season with one loss, but East Providence will be the top seed in the playoffs by virtue of its head-to-head victory.

The semifinals will be played Tuesday night, with all four Super Bowls scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2.
