Wheeler field hockey alumni game set for Nov. 25

The Wheeler School field hockey team will hold its annual alumni game on Nov. 25 - the Saturday after Thanksgiving - at 10:30 a.m. at the Wheeler Farm fieldhouse. A luncheon will follow.

The game, which will be played indoors, will feature this year's Division II runner-up Warriors against past Wheeler players. Any and all former players are welcome to participate, says coach Jean Carlson, adding that last year's game featured alumni representing four decades of teams.

"It's a great, great event,'' she said. "To see kids who played before I even started coaching come back and their parents come to the game . . . and some kids bring their own kids. It's just great."

The team will also announce this year's winner of the Julie Baldwin Sportsmanship Award.
