Honestly do you know how COX chose some of those games to be televised? Portsmouth-Westerly is a horrible boy's b'ball matchup unfortunately this year. There are so many more exciting teams out there, for example Hendricken, Feinstein, two of the better teams in Rhode Island this year. Hendricken will probably get some aire time during the D-1 Championship, unfortunately Feinstein won't since they are D-2. Too bad COX wouldnt televise all of the games like they used to back in the late 80's. It would make sense considering all of their equipment is already set up for the day.

Hi Ms. Thornton, do you know who is being televised for the V Foundation game? I can't find anything about it on the RIIL website, thanks for the info....

I would suggest next year having a preseason poll to see what games the fans would like to see and/or perhaps you could also survey the RIIL coaches and see who the better teams are supposed to be that particular year. Can you change the games this year? I mean Portsmouth scored 14 points one game this year! 14 points! These games are awful for boys basketball! I agree with the previous writer who asked about Hendricken and Feinstein. These are undoubtedly the top 2 teams in the state and they are not being televised? Feinstein is undefeated and is 5-0 vs Division I teams. Hendricken is the 3 time Div I champs and will probably be undefeated this season! Cmon Cox, wake up if you want to cover high school sports!!
