People don't realize how talented Andrew Palumbo and Andrew Springer really are. In a state where so many people neglect track and field, the performances these two runners have put up of late are really special.

Palumbo ran a solid 4:19 mile, he'll be going to run for a talented Duke squad next year. Sophomore Andrew Springer ran a 4:25 mile on the same day after running a 9:19 two mile. Look for monster performances from him in the years to come.

Worth mentioning are the performances of James Sylvestre and Tim O'Laughlin in the 5000 meters, both of them breaking the 16:00 barrier.

Watch out for Westerly with O'Laughlin and Springer. These two are becoming known as simply "The Sophomores" because of their dominating performances.

All of the recent happenings in track make it a delight for any track and field fan in Rhode Island. Finally something to cheer for in our sport.
