Mt. Hope fast-pitch making turnaround thanks to Moreira

The Mt. Hope fast-pitch softball team has been enjoying more success of late, and sophomore pitcher Ashley Moreira has had more than a little to do with that, says coach Fred Da Silva: ``I have a pretty special pitcher in Ashley Moreira. She is only a sophomore and has been my starting pitcher since she came in as a freshman. Her stats include a 10-8 record on a team that only managed to win a handful of games the previous three seasons. She throws in the upper 50's consistently, has an ERA of 3.75, has given up only 97 hits in 104.2 innings with 39 walks and 125 strikeouts."
