Hallam hurls Barrington to Division II fast-pitch crown

Sophomore Jamie Hallam tossed a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts, as Barrington defeated Moses Brown, 4-0, to capture the Division II title of the Amica Insurance R.I. Interscholastic League Division I Fast-pitch Softball Championships at Rhode Island College.

Patricia Hendrickson knocked in Jill Lewis for what would prove to be the game-winning run in the first and Sarah Whitten helped seal the win with a two-run triple in the fifth that drove in Lewis and Valerie Luks.
