Oct. 14 road race to honor memory of Mt. Hope student-athlete

Mt. Hope track and cross country coach Andrew Sabourin sends along the details for a new road race to be held Oct. 14 in memory of Kayleigh Raposa, a student-athlete from Mt. Hope who died from injuries suffered in a car accident earlier this year:

"The 1st Annual Kayleigh Raposa 5 K"ay" Road Race will be held on Sunday, October 14th at 10 am in Colt St. Park. Along with the 5K, there will be a one mile fun walk for families and children. Applicants can register for the race online at needtorace.com (Actually will be able to within the next few days). The proceeds of the race go to the Kayleigh Raposa Memorial Fund, which gives out scholarships to Mt. Hope students and helps out the Mt. Hope athletic program."
