Before today, the Hawks had not lost a dual meet since 1978, amassing somewhere in the neighborhood of 250 straight wins over the past three decades.

Shortly after Hendricken sophomore Bronson Venable crossed the finish line in a winning time of 16:11, a pack of five Avengers followed, beginning with sophomore Nick Ross in 16:20. Then came junior Mark Feigen (16:36), senior Mike Pezzullo (16:45), senior Akash Chougule (16:50) and Matt Colavita (16:56).

Also posting wins over Pilgrim and West Warwick, East Greenwich improves to 8-0.
