For the second year in a row, La Salle grabbed the top two individual spots, as Jeanne Mack (18:18.3) and Jean Christensen (18:39) again finished first and second, respectively, and with teammate Nicole Cocozza (19:00) following in third, the Rams also secured the team title at today's Class A Cross Country Championship held at Ponaganset High School. (The three runners clocked the fastest times of the day.)

Barrington captured the Class B crown behind talented freshman trio Abigail Jones (first in 19:09), Alexandra August (fifth in 20:39) and Molly Malinowski (seventh in 20:43).

Susan O'Connell (20:15.2) and Amanda Hallworth (20:35) went 1-2, in helping East Greenwich successfully defend its title in the Class C race.

La Salle also won the JV State Championship behind top-10 peformances by Meaghan Reilly (3rd in 21:19), Danielle Renzi (4th in 21:23), Caitlin Reily (5th in 21:27) and Meghan Pinksaw (10th in 21:47).
