North Kingstown, Tiverton to meet in Division I field hockey final

Cassie-Raye Stuart scored the game-tying goal, then assisted Stacey Scott on the game-winner, as as North Kingstown posted a 2-1 overtime victory over East Greenwich in semifinal action of the R.I. Interscholastic League Division I Field Hockey Championship earlier tonight at Cranston Stadium.

Tiverton then earned the spot opposite the Skippers in this weekend's final, edging two-time defending state champion Barrington, 1-0, on a first-half goal by Sarah Greene in the other semifinal.

Tiverton and North Kingstown will play for the Division I Championship, Saturday at 6 p.m. at Bryant University. That game will follow the Division II title matchup between Moses Brown and Wheeler, slated for 4 p.m.
