Colin Powell to speak, lead Peace Walk for U.S. Scholar-Athlete Games

Tickets to Secretary Powell’s speech: $20 adults, $15 students 18 and under through P.P.A.C.’s box office.

The Institute for International Sport is honored to present celebrated soldier and statesman Secretary Colin Powell for a keynote address on Leadership and American Patriotism on July 1st at 7 p.m., at PPAC.

Secretary Powell will also lead a Peace Walk, featuring the 2008 U.S. Scholar-Athletes and Scholar-Artists through downtown Providence earlier in the afternoon.

Secretary Powell’s appearance represents a major event of the Institute’s 2008 U.S. Scholar-Athlete Games, a weeklong event that brings together over 1,000 high school youth from around the country, and from several foreign countries, with the goal of building global awareness, leadership skills and good sportsmanship.
