Samantha Morrell of North Kingstown shot a four-over-par 76 to win the girls state golf championship today at Point Judith Country Club in Narragansett.

Juliet Vongphoumy of La Salle, who won the state co-ed championship last week, was second with a score of 81. Lincoln's Jenna Masnyk was third with a score of 90.

Twenty golfers competed, and the top 10 earn tickets to the New England championships.
