Top high school athletes to be honored tonight at Cox RI Sports Awards

Cox RI Sports Awards presented by Amica Announces Spring Scholar-Athlete Nominees
More than 100 of RI’s top scholar-athletes will be showcased at the Cox RI Sports Awards presented by Amica at Providence Performing Arts Center, Wednesday, June 18
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Cox RI Sports Awards (http://www.risportsawards.com) spring scholar-athlete nominees have been announced. The winners will be revealed at the second annual Cox RI Sports Awards presented by Amica on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Providence Performing Arts Center.
Cox Sports (www.cox-sports.com) and Amica Insurance will honor the state’s best scholar-athletes from Woonsocket to Westerly and the top college athletes at the Cox RI Sports Awards. The Ocean State’s best high school scholar-athletes from each sport for every season, as well as the Team of the Year and Coach of the Year, will be announced. State Championship teams from each season will also be honored. A highlight show of the awards will be broadcast on Cox Sports.
