Big night around the state!!!
Big game last night down in the south end as 5th ranked Puyallup stayed undefeated on the season with a 44-31 win over Bethel. The Braves drop to 3-1 with the loss and 1-1 in conference. Puyallup running back DJ Williams left with a bruised knee in the 1st half so the Vikings turned to their passing game and QB Alec Elliott was up to the challenge finishing with 167 yards and three second half td passes. Williams did return for a 7 yard td run.
Tonight a pair of 2-1 rivals meet at French Field as Kentwood takes on Kentridge.
Up north, the Cascade Conference championship could be at stake even though it's only September as a pair of 3-0 teams and favorites to win the league Archbishop Murphy playing game two with new head coach Rick Stubrud facing upstart Cedarcrest.
We'll break down all of these games and visit with Dawgman.com's Chris Fetters as he analyzes the best running backs in the state. We'll also talk to Coach Stubrud and find out how Archbishop Murphy is coping with the loss of the legend Terry Ennis on Varsity football Live tonight at 10:00 on Sportsradio 950 KJR.
