Dick Fain's big games of the week
No question what the game of the week is in the State as #2 2a Lynden, the defending state champions face their rivals #6 3a Ferndale. Both teams are 4-0 and have outscored their opponents by an average of 4 td's per game. We'll have a reporter covering that game and will give you a full wrap up at 10:00 Friday on Varsity Football Live on 950 KJR.
If you can't get all the way up to Ferndale and want to watch quality football, head over to Newport HS on Friday night for 9th ranked Eastside Catholic vs. Blanchet. Vinny Papasadero leads the Braves attack with nearly 600 yards and 7 td's while Crusader WR Vince Taylor can hurt you both on the ground and through the air as he has averages 50 yards per game rushing and another 65 receiving and has scored 5 td's.
One amazing story to keep an eye on is happening on the other side of the State as the Kamiakin Braves are 4-0 and ranked 2nd in the state in 3a. They have yet to allow a point this season outscoring their opponents 117-0. Kamiakin head coach Craig Beverlin will join me on Varsity Football Live Friday night.
