Bowling championships this weekend

The WIAA state bowling championships are set for this Friday and Saturday at the Narrows Plaza Bowl in University Place. This year’s individual tournament features 144 bowlers competing for the individual state titles in 2A/3A and 4A. Games will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday with awards scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

The team tournament will feature 16 teams on Friday and Saturday. Eight teams will contend for the 2A/3A championship and eight teams will contend for the 4A championship. Games begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and will continue at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Team awards are set for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
