Lynnwood pitcher throws no-hitter

A great week for fastpitch. As the Seattle Times reports, Lynnwood pitcher Julia Nealer threw a no-hitter against Edmonds-Woodway, winning 1-0. Nealer struck out 12. Ed-Wood's Sydney Mahan struck out 11 while allowing seven hits. SEE THE HIGHLIGHTS IN OUR VIDEO SECTION!

In other area fastpitch, Cedarcrest's Hillary Barker struck out 14 to beat Archbishop Murphy 1-0. And in the sixth inning, Nooksack Valley's Amanda TeVelde hit her first home run to take Pioneers's over Sehome, 1-0.
