Garfield's girls softball team in bus accident

Garfield High School girls' junior varsity and varsity softball teams were in an bus accident tonight, when their charter bus crashed into a pedestrian overpass in Seattle, smashing the roof and injuring five students. It happened just after 6 p.m. on Lake Washington Boulevard, in the arboretum. The route the driver took was apparently not the normal route, and the overpass had a sign marking low clearance. Five students were taken to Harborview, but no injuries appear to be serious. KING 5 news at 10 and 11 will have reports from the scene.
