Spring playoffs heat up

BASEBALL
Top-ranked Eastside Catholic lost to Seattle Prep 10-6 last night in a winner-to-state Metro League contest. Seattle Prep will face Blanchet in Saturday's Metro title game. Eastside Catholic now has to win three games to advance to state.

SOCCER
Nathan Hale will play in Friday Metro league title game after winning over Eastside Catholic 2-0. Also yesterday, Lakeside beat Bainbridge 2-0 in a winner-to-state semifinal. Tonight, Marysville-Pulchuck takes on Jackson for the Northwest District's third state berth, and Shorecrest plays Mount Vernon. In the 1A Bi-District Tournament, King’s takes on Vashon Island and Charles Wright faces Meridian.
