Emerald City Kickoff Classic schools set
The schools are set for the 2008 Emerald City Volleyball Invitational and Kickoff Classic. The Volleyball Invitational will be on Friday, September 5, at Eastlake High School. The Kickoff Classic will be Saturday, September 6, at Qwest Field. Here are the matchups for both events:

8:00 p.m. Punahou (Hawaii) vs. 4A Central Kitsap

The 2008 ECKC features three teams that competed in the 2007 State Football playoffs: Cascade Christian, Fife and Central Kitsap. The ten teams in the 2008 ECKC combined for 79 wins in 2007 and every team achieved a winning season.
Also of note: 2007 Nisqually League Cascade Division champion, Cascade Christian will face 2007 Nisqually League Rainier Division Champion, Fife ● 2007 Metro League Mountain Division runner-up, Eastside Catholic will play Eisenhower ● 2007 SPSL South Sound Division runner-up, Puyallup will face Bellarmine Prep ● 2007 Seamount League runner-up Kennedy will play 2007 SPSL North Division runner-up Kentwood ● Hawaiian perennial power, Punahou, will face 2007 Narrows League Bay Division runner-up, Central Kitsap.
