New turf for Everett Memorial Stadium

Everett's Memorial Stadium is sporting some brand new field turf for the upcoming season. Over the summer, the twelve-year-old AstroTurf was taken out and replaced with Sprinturf. For those who didn't know, Jackson, Cascade and Everett all play on the field, and Everett High School's football team practices at the stadium. According to the Everett Herald, the replacement is part of a $762,000 renovation project. Most of the money came from a 1997 replacement fund. Restrooms and concession areas plan to be rebuilt in April of 2009.
