State Champion Golfer to UW
Two-time high school state champion golfer Sadena Parks has signed a national letter of intent to join the Washington women's golf program for the 2008-09 season, head coach Mary Lou Mulflur announced.
Parks, from Puyallup, Wash., and a product of Bethel High School, claimed Washington 4A state titles in both 2008 and 2006. Parks, who also competed in basketball and track and field, was state runner-up at the 2007 tournament as well.
"We are thrilled to have Sadena join the Husky family," Mulflur said. "She brings a tremendous work ethic, unbelievable athletic ability and a tenacious attitude. That combination provides her an unlimited opportunity for success in the classroom and on the golf course."
