HS GameTime show schedule change

There's been a change in scheduling, as HS GameTime will air at a different time this week. You can catch up on this week's games on Saturday at 4:30 p.m on KING/5 (due to PGA Golf). If you can't tune-in (or the DVR is being hogged by your sister), watch the rebroadcast at 5 p.m. over on Northwest Cable News, or 11:30 a.m. on Sunday on KONG 6/16.

Bellarmine Prep's Gaddy to Arizona

6"3' Bellarmine Prep point guard Abdul Gaddy is going to the University of Arizona, according to the Tacoma Tribune. Reportedly, Gaddy made a verbal commitment last night after visiting Tucson last week. Gaddy had narrowed his choice to either UCLA or Arizona. Gaddy is rated as the No. 2 point guard in the nation by both Scout.com and Rivals.com.

Stanwood player in stable condition

The Stanwood football player hurt Friday in the Meadowdale vs Stanwood game is still at Harborview Medical Center and in stable condition, according to the Everett Herald. Football officials change penalty flags to blue for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

From the WIAA:
High School football officials throughout the state of Washington will raise the profile of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month by replacing traditional yellow penalty flags with blue flags during varsity games played on September 11-13, 2008. A Lake Stevens High School assistant football coach collapsed Friday night, before the season-opener. The Everett Herald is reporting the coach, 31-year-old Kyle Bigham, is in stable condition. HS GameTime Season Premiere

SPECIAL TIME: The 9th Season of HS Gametime premieres on Saturday, September 6th, in a different slot. The first run is 10 am on KONG-TV. The replays air at 4:30 pm on KING-TV, 5:00 pm on Northwest Cable News, and Sunday at 11:30 am on KONG.
